On Friday, 21 February 2020, Eunice High School participated in the annual inter-high gala in Bloemfontein. 400 Eunice ladies participated. The ladies adopted an Irish theme to drum up the spirit. 6 tap dancers, 9 drummers and 16 conductresses led 50 swimmers and a mass of supporters into the stadium swimming pool. Eunice secured the spirit cup as well as an impressive assortment of accolades: best u/14 swimmer, best u/15 swimmer, best u/16 swimmer, best 17 and over girls’ team and Victrix Ludorum.

Some highlights from the event include:

  • Charné Snyman who was awarded best u/14 swimmer and received two gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal.
  • Amber Olsen was awarded best u/15 swimmer and received four gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.
  • Luchelle Oosthuizen was awarded best u/16 swimmer and Victrix Ludorum, she received five gold medals (50m fly, 50m breast, 100m fly, 200m breast, 50m free) and two silver medals (medley relay and freestyle relay).
  • The u/17 girls were awarded best female age group.
